Silencing...is this really happening here in the US?

Have you ever heard how the media in certain parts of the world are censored by their government? (the Middle East, Cuba...places like that come to mind) The government only allows certain things to air, so the people of those countries only get to see one side...that which the government wants them to see.
Is it hard to believe that our current administration is trying to do the same thing, but subtly. Months ago Obama spoke out about wanting to silence Fox News because they were obviously exposing people to things the main stream media wasn't. That didn't go over too well with alot of people...and now our government is at it again. Unless you listen to alternative media outlets, you would never know about it either. The Disclose Act is up for approval in the Senate, and has already been pushed through the House. It's name is misleading, but the Disclose Act will be voted into legislation to silence pro-family/pro-life organizations around election time. In order for Democrats to make sure it doesn't get overturned too soon before elections, they have even written that into the law as well.
So basically, these groups that speak out on issues of the family and pro-life aren't going to be allowed to do so in the most crucial time...election time. Is this America that we live in? What happened to Freedom of Speech. I only share this because our government is gaining too much control....and now they are trying to control our media and organizations that the current administration doesn't agree with. Welcome to America Obama...land of the FREE...this isn't North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, or the Middle East...this is America!
