Tim Tebow during the Super Bowl...

Some of you have probably heard this by now, but I still find it interesting...Tim Tebow and his mom are supposedly appearing in a Super Bowl commercial together. The topic of the commercial has become targeted by certain feminist groups and anti-conservative groups...the reason, the commercial is pro-life. Tim Tebow's mom became very ill while carrying her 5th child. Her doctor recommended abortion, but due to her Christian beliefs...she chose life. That 5th child...Tim Tebow!
If you want to read one of the articles I found regarding the controversy...click HERE.
I just find it interesting that people are upset about this. This is a miracle in more ways than one. It is also proof that God works miracles...look at who God allowed to be born, despite the doctors wishes. I may have wanted his team to lose when they played Alabama, but Tim is a winner in life. For someone to stand up to the public for Christ is admirable. Especially considering the draft hasn't taken place yet...and some could hold his public stance against him. Atleast we know there will be one truly good commercial during the Super Bowl. One last thing, give it up to the tv station for backing it too...several groups have asked for the commercial to be taken off the air. So for now, put a mark in the column for the conservative movement. This commercial could influence many lives, and possibly save them!

Told you to look out for Mass...

I have been out of town for the last week...while I was gone the "impossible" happened! A Republican won in Massachusetts...not just that, but filled the vacated spot of Ted Kennedy. Late one night after work, I turned on the tv to see the favorite in the race did not win. So, thanks Massachusetts for giving the rest of the US a chance! Now maybe Obama and the rest of Washington will realize that people are disgusted with their policies and procedures, with their false statements and claims...and let me be clear, this isn't just aimed at the Democrats, but everyone else their too. There is just too much junk in politics...but atleast this is a start. It will take a little more effort to get legislation passed with one less Democrat in office! Amazing...instead of 60 seats with a (D) beside their name, now there are only 59. Who said 1 person can't make a difference!

Haiti...and the book of Job

I haven't commented on Haiti yet...I almost don't know what to say. Can words really describe the devastation that that country is dealing with? For some reason, which if you know the story is probably obvious...my mind keeps going back to the book of Job in the Bible. With the exception of his life, Job lost everything: material things/property (animals and livestock), his health (painful sores from head to toe), his family (sons & daughters were killed when a mighty wind collapsed the house on all of them). This story in the Bible is always encouraging...but not initially.
That is what I keep thinking about when I see Haiti on television...that those who survived with their life, will see results...eventually. For now, the living can only think about the loss of loved ones and other loss of life, loss of property, loss of health...like I said, it reminds me of Job's story.
I truly believe years from now, Haiti will end up better than it was prior to the terrible earthquake. That country was extremely poor (that's still an understatement)...and look at all of the money and help that is pouring into that country. It will never be enough to take back the loss of life, but it will hopefully give those people something in the future. Millions upon millions of dollars are being donated by organizations and people...not to mention the money being contributed by other countries willing to help. Maybe this will be Haiti's chance to revitalize a nation already in shambles...atleast I hope so! If you haven't already given money to help out, I encourage you to do so...every little bit helps and adds up!

Keep an eye on Mass...

Keep an eye on Massachusetts...by this I mean their upcoming Senate race to fill the late Ted Kennedy's spot. I caught wind of this today on the radio and it gave me hope. This is a very Democrat based area, very liberal area. So how is a Republican and conservative closing the gap in this race? The answer...by running as the candidate to stop Obamacare! You heard right...that is his campaign. As of now the Democrats have the numbers to keep this terrible plan going; with a Republican in what was previously a Democrats seat...the numbers change, by 1. But that 1 seat changes the whole scheme of things. It alters the numbers on the vote for legislation...especially Obamacare! So let's hope and pray this guy gets in...and for the record his opponent was supposed to be a shoe in. She is the attorney general of MA, Martha Coakley. She is the top legal person of her state. On a side note and the reason I mention it...she just got busted watching someone in her campaign physically assault a reporter. She watched and did nothing...make a big deal of this particular issue if you want, but being the top legal dawg...she should have stepped in. Instead her guy is being charged with assault.
Anyway, keep an eye on Massachusetts...this could be big and unexpected and most importantly, just what us Americans need to overturn this ignorant healthcare reform!

I am Second...

I have been meaning to write about this topic, but chalk it up to a crazy life. Regardless, I am getting to it now. Following the Alabama-Texas National Championship, I started hearing more about Colt McCoy. His post-game interview was great and gained him recognition. The day after the football game, I heard of his video for "I Am Second". I had never heard of "I Am Second" before now, but it seems pretty cool. There are other 'celebrities' on here as well, or atleast other famous names. Here are a few others...Tony Dungy, Sam Bradford, Stephen Baldwin, Mike Huckabee, and several more. I thought you may want to check it out HERE-IAMSECOND.
I look at it this way...it is bold to acknowledge your faith, especially if you have a celebrity like status. You have the whole world to hold you accountable and that is exactly what these people have done. They aren't ashamed and know people are watching. I think it is super cool and hope you check it out.

Final Game...National Champs!

Roll Tide Roll...I have to say that I am proud of the season we had, and for the Championship! On the other hand, I don't have the super pumped, ecstatic feeling like one would expect. Alabama did enough to win (thanks to Ingram). I think Texas showed a lot of fight considering the unexpected injury to McCoy. (After hearing his speech or interview after the game, I will forever be his fan, as I am of Tebow...star athletes who aren't afraid to give God glory regardless if things go their way or not, priceless). On another note, I am very happy for Texas' freshmen quarterback...obviously I am glad they lost the game, but atleast he got 2 touchdowns thanks to Shipley. I just feel sorry for him getting thrown into the fire from the beginning of the game. In closing, I am so glad Saban has proven himself as a coach once again...3 years of turning a program around and a National Championship + Heisman winner...almost unheard of! So, Roll Tide Roll...as for McElroy our quarterback-not his best game, but to his credit...he is undefeated as a starting quarterback since 8th grade. That's more than impressive! And considering all of the returning players we have coming back next year...that's a good feeling too! Now if next year we don't knock Saban out when we throw Gatorade on him...guess there's always room for improvement!

Half-Time Thoughts...

I have such mixed feelings at half time...I am THRILLED that Alabama is winning!
However, I hate the way they are winning...I know it is part of the game, but I would rather McCoy be in the game and us beating them this bad. It truly breaks my heart-first that McCoy is a Christian, second that he is injured in his last game and has a future in the NFL, and that his future is at jeopardy this moment. Then, I feel so sorry for their back up freshmen quarterback. This poor kid looked like he was about to cry; I would want to cry if I were him. Who gets a shuffle pass intercepted at the end of the half?
So, yeah Alabama Crimson Tide...but I hate games where others will hold something over our heads...and if the trend continues, that thing will be that McCoy got injured. On the other hand, I know that injuries are part of the game. Therefore, I know it is fair what's going on in the game. Just wanted to give my half time thoughts...so I hope the Tide keeps rolling!

The BIG game...

Tonight's the BIG game...the BIGGEST game possible for an Alabama fan!
I can't wait, but am obviously nervous too.
Can I get a...
ROLL TIDE ROLL!

God's sense of humor...global warming

Brrrrrrrrrrrr.....How cold is it where you are? It is expected to be cold when you live in the North, but here in the South...not so much. The high here in Memphis on Thursday...18 degrees. That is unheard of. So, I just think God has a sense of humor...global warming has been a huge political agenda this past year. Heck, it is the reason your government feels the need to pass "Cap & Trade...aka Cap & Tax" legislation. Don't ya think it's funny...ironically, while Al Gore was in DC last year for a summit on global warming-a huge snow storm took place. What do you think happened when he went to Copenhagen in December to talk about the global warming "crisis"...you guessed it, SNOW! These aren't the only times something like this has happened. You can google "Gore Effect" and find all kinds of things. It is just funny what they are telling people...but anyone who steps outside their house can see and feel a different story. Somehow I think the Washington Elite thinks we are all dumb...maybe it is the other way around. Wake up Al Gore and the global warming community...science is proving that the world temperature has been cooling over the last decade. Hmmmm....their story isn't adding up!

"Tiger Woods needs Christianity" said on tv

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeRJ7euUShg
Check the above link out...I have heard about this a decent amount over the last few days. Brit Hume made the following statement regarding Tiger Woods:

"Tiger Woods will recover as a golfer. Whether he can recover as a person I think is a very open question, and it's a tragic situation for him. I think he's lost his family, it's not clear to me if he'll be able to have a relationship with his children, but the Tiger Woods that emerges once the news value dies out of this scandal -- the extent to which he can recover -- seems to me to depend on his faith. He's said to be a Buddhist; I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So my message to Tiger would be, 'Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.'"

Yes he said it on Fox News, so I know that will automatically turn some off...but as a Christian, you can't argue (or atleast shouldn't) with what Brit Hume said. It's true...Buddhism doesn't provide or offer grace and forgiveness. To my understanding, in Buddhism you do things yourself to reach "nothingness" or "nirvana". It is about what you can do for yourself...not what someone did for you...in Christianity, that someone is Jesus! Hume's statement has been somewhat controversial, but he simply stated the truth. Everyone needs Jesus, including Tiger Woods. Hopefully Tiger will take him up on the need for a Savior, Jesus!

I'm back...about Yemen

So I took a little break from all of the government junk...but now I am back. While I was driving yesterday, the radio was discussing the Yemen. What I didn't know previously is that Bin Laden is orgininally from Yemen; so you know the people there will support him and his whacked out radicalism. So, that brings up another issue...if our government knows of the terrorist ties to Yemen, why on God's green Earth would our President want to close Guantanamo Bay and release the Yemini prisoners back to that country? It just doesn't make sense. To my understanding, last time we released prisoners of war back to Yemen, they were released by their government almost immediately. If we are truly trying to combat terror and capture the hoodlums who keep partaking in this activity, why do we do things that will work against us, America? I don't think Obama realizes that people are not good...we all have sin, so people are born then enter into a world of sin. I just think our administration is handling our national security wrong.
