Craigslist...

So this blog isn't at all like the majority of my past ones, BUT I thought it could be beneficial to some of you. I have never used Craigslist before...but under the advice of a friend, we thought we would give it a shot. My husband and I have finally decided to update our living room, therefore we ideally wanted to sell our current furniture. We thought about the traditional yard sale, but considering I am very pregnant...didn't think that would work best. So, why not give Craigslist a shot right? What did we have to lose?
Starting yesterday I am on "bedrest" until this baby pops out...so, we took pictures and measurements of our furniture and posted them. (We posted a tv cabinet, love set, couch, and chair) I got emails ALL DAY long about our furniture...we have already sold the chair and got that money this morning, and we have 2 other people coming this evening (one is driving 30 minutes for our tv cabinet...and the other is coming for the love seat). I mean...I am now a HUGE fan of Craigslist. So, I share this for a few reasons...
-I know there is a lot of people out there struggling financially...so if you need extra money, consider selling something. I know someone who sold jet skis using this website, and someone else who just sold furniture.
-For big pieces like what we are/were selling, you get a lot more "traffic" looking for deals...and although you set the price, you don't have to completely deal with the yard sale cheapos.
-People are always looking for a deal, especially in this economy.
-And the last reason I am sharing...we have had great success so far, so why not give others ideas too!
