On a mission...

Tonight at my church affiliated small group, we were able to have a family that lives in Dubai. (they've lived there for 8 years now). It was really cool to hear their stories from abroad, how they got there, and how God is using them over there. On the other hand, it was nice to learn from them and realize I have no clue when it comes to the things they encounter on a daily basis. A-I thought Dubai was in India...in reality it is one of the United Arab Emirates. That was my first lesson...then to hear of Islam and the different nationalities there, was just cool. Bibles are not sold there, because Islam is the national religion. On the other hand, for years now they have had people call, ask for meetings, and want Bibles from them (even if it is distributed out of the trunk of their car). They have also been able to partner with Muslims and hold "dialogues" about Christianity and Islam...which nonetheless is spreading the gospel and allowing a legal way for Christianity to spread. So, I share this for a couple of reasons...1, to know that the gospel is going forth throughout the world (even in restricted areas)...2, to share how blessed we truly are in having freedom to go to Church, to buy and read the Bible, and to share it whenever and with whomever...3, to pray for those around the world, including here, that are spreading the love of Christ and living it out too!
