lebron and jesse jackson's remarks

I had just blogged, was about to shut down my computer when I saw that Jesse Jackson has made the Lebron James issue racial...imagine that. This drives me crazy for a number of reasons...why does Jessee Jackson have the need to make a public statement and make it a racial issue at that? Can't he just stay out of the limelight and quit making everything about race?
Let's face it...although I don't personally care for Lebron, he has the right to make his own decisions. In this case, he decided to leave Cleveland and go to Miami. This guy was raised in Ohio, and has played ball in that state his whole life. Now that he was a free agent, he has the right to go to any team he wants. Heck, he is a good player and worth a lot of money in the NBA's standards.
So, someone please tell Jesse Jackson that the Cleveland Cavalier's owner did feel betrayed. He knew that Lebron was that team, that they probably won't ever have another player of his caliber wanting to play there...and let's face it, not everything the owner said was out of line...Lebron is narcissistic and did feel the need to have a conference to announce his decision at a set time...Lebron is all about Lebron for the most part, as many professional athletes and humans are. So, once again...Jesse Jackson...don't make everything about race. Quit looking for something to make an issue out of. It's hard for people to get past racism when you keep bringing unnecessary issue to the media. In this instance, he attempted to say that Lebron was like a "runaway slave" and the owner of the Cavaliers was the slave owner. How about the NBA is a business...that the owner knows his main source of money has gone...and fired off at the mouth. I don't think race was ever a part of it.
