I will never pretend to be the best parent, but I do my best...one flaw of probably all parents (not that you have to be a parent either) is judging the way others parent. I truly try my hardest not to do this much, and not to say "never" when it comes to kids acting up and so forth. Here it comes...
BUT, there is something about parents not setting good examples for their kids. That is hard for me to deal with. Maybe because I live in a city where you see it all to often...non-responsible people who should have never had kids in the first place. I was at a car dealership getting my oil changed when I heard some very loud mouth people talking (with their children, or friend's children near them). All I could hear are the words Petrone and a childish word for breasts (titties...not sure if I am spelling these correctly). It was soooo loud to be in public first of all...but then to be talking about such adult things in front of little ones.
Then today, my husband was getting lunch...and the conversation he heard was by a woman holding her baby. She goes on to tell another person how she and her baby played until 3 in the morning and stayed up all night. It's one thing for an adult, but for a baby...no one with common sense can think that is good. I am sure people criticize us because our daughter goes to bed between 9-10, which I agree is probably later than needed.
There is nothing that gets under my skin more than to hear parents cursing, yelling, and acting like fools in front of their kids. Our daughter is almost 2, and her brain is like a sponge. She soaks everything in...so to any parents out there...be responsible. Our kids are always learning whether you realize it or not!
