As I was listening to talk radio today, I heard about something that truly bothers me...Let me first say, as Christians, God holds us to a higher standard. The Devil wants nothing more than to destroy Christians. That being said, who do you think the Devil wants to truly corrupt and deceive more than others...my guess...preachers, pastors, ministers, priests, etc (those who are supposed to be interpreting and teaching God's word).
Let me now say...as believers, we believe the Bible to be true...the Bible is our source of guidance. If you do not believe the Bible or believe in God, then we obviously will not see eye-to-eye on the following comments:
2 Timothy 3:16-17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
This verse literally says that God inspired the Bible...it says "ALL SCRIPTURE"!
Warning...everyone is not going to like or agree with the following:
If you attend a church, please make sure that your church leaders are teaching sound doctrine. It is our responsibility as Christians to make sure we are being led in the right direction. Regardless of what anyone tries to tell me, Obama's former pastor, Rev Wright, was a false teacher. ANY pastor who says "G.D." needs Christ (we are not to take the Lord's name in vain); that should never be said period, let alone from the pulpit. It blows my mind that Obama attended church there while this foolishness was going on. On a similar note, what I heard on the radio today has a similar issue. From what I understand, the leader of the Mississippi United Methodist Church is telling the church that homosexuality is okay. With all respect possible, this is definitely a "hate the sin, not the sinner issue". I am not saying that people who practice this are horrible, but I do think they are willingly living in sin. How can you encourage people to live a sinful life? I don't get it. Obviously the people of the Methodist Church are not the first church body to embrace this lifestyle. Just realize that the humans in charge of these false teachings will be held accountable to God for leading people astray.
2 Timothy 4:2-5 "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.
Please know, my intentions are not to offend anyone...but to merely state the Bible.
